Our 2022 Show Team
A wise person once said; anyone who says "I don't need a dog from a breeder who shows" is like saying "I don't need a house from a builder who builds to code".
Showing dogs takes great commitment, time, money and passion, but the benefits to a breeder are endless. You develop an eye for a well put together dog, be it your own breed or yours and others. You talk to other breeders, get unbiased opinions on your own dogs and just LEARN. In fact you NEVER stop LEARNING.
Each breed has their own blueprint, called a BREED STANDARD.
Good breeders adhere to the Breed Standard and try and breed as closely as possible to the standard.
The real purpose of dog shows is to evaluate quality breeding stock in order to maintain the integrity of the breed. Judges are looking for characteristics that allow the dog to perform the function for which his or her breed was bred.
The purpose of dog sports is evaluate the dog and their temperament in sports they were historically bred to do. ie For the Briard - Herding.
Well rounded dedicated Breeders usually test their dogs, especially their breeding stock, in both arenas.
At CACHAREL we handle, groom, train and prepare our own dogs. If we can't do that ourselves, how can we help our puppy owners.
Ch Cacharel Ready to Rumble HIT
Rumbles has just turned 2 and is already a Multiple Best In Show winner.
He has 3 CACIB's won in South Australia, NSW and Qld.
Despite his young age, he was Number 1 Briard in Australia in 2021, and is currently sitting in the Number 1 position in 2022. This is despite me breaking my leg and being unable to go to shows for a few months.
